In 1980, a narco and a notorious Nazi overturned the Bolivian government and established a cocaine state that paved the way for Pablo Escobar and today’s drug cartels. This film centres on three men: the infamous Nazi war criminal Klaus Altmann; the Bolivian drug trafficker Roberto Suarez; and Michael Levine, an eye witness and undercover agent.
We will be showing two 45-minute episodes of the series at the screening on thursday, 8 May 2025, so the event will last 90 minutes in total.
Biography
Justin Webster is an Emmy-winning director, writer and producer based in Barcelona. He studied classical literature at Cambridge University and worked for the newspaper and BBC. His documentary film projects have taken him around the world.
