From 2016, Birgitte Sigmundstad followed the merger of four existing state museums into one: the National Museum for Art, Architecture and Design in Oslo. Through the film’s unhurried and thoughtful camera work, the advantages and the downsides of the new building become apparent. What is art? Biography

Birgitte Sigmundstad is a visual artist from Oslo, working with photography and film. She has a background in art photography. Her films – often stories from Norway – have been featured at several festivals and galleries.
