THE WHITE HOUSE EFFECT
United States 2024 – Director: Bonni Cohen, Pedro Kos, Jon Shenk – Original language: English – Subtitles: None – Length: 96 min.
In 1998, George Bush Senior promised big changes for the environment. But, under the influence of the oil industry, climate protection became a political issue – with consequences that are still felt today. THE WHITE HOUSE EFFECT is an oppressive contemporary found footage film that recounts how disinformation and lobbying shaped US climate policy and paved the way for decades of polarisation.
