DOK.forum Marketplace 2025

In order to strengthen the artistic collaboration between filmmakers and composers, the best musical concept for a documentary film will be endowed with 2,500 euros, donated by Sonoton Music and sponsored by Förderungs- und Hilfsfonds des Deutschen Komponist:innenverbands.

The DOK.composition Award Ceremony will take place as part of the DOK.fest München German Documentary Film Music Award Ceremony on 12 May.

Benedikt Schulte studied Scenic Arts in Hildesheim/Germany. Co-Founder of Lichtbilder Filmproduktion in Munich, focussing on artists' portraits and music documentaries. "The Violin's Voice" (2018) was nominated for the newcomer award at DOK.fest Munich and won the audience award at Musikfilmtage Oberaudorf. His latest documentary is "Simon! The Joy of Conducting" (2025, DOK.fest Munich). He's also a director of live-TV concerts.

Sebastian Sorg is a creative project developer for film and innovative media who is based in Munich, Germany. After creating and managing DOK.forum at DOK.fest Munich, he focussed on project development, financing strategies and funding.
