Charlotte Gainsbourg, born in London, is the daughter of Jane Birkin and Serge Gainsbourg. An internationally awarded actress, she has starred in films by Lars von Trier, among others, and as a singer has released several albums. JANE BY CHARLOTTE is her (documentary) film debut.
