Festive Opening of the 40th DOK.fest München
As in previous years, host Christina Wolf will guide you through the evening and we are delighted to welcome festival director Daniel Sponsel as well as the managing director of the Deutsches Theater, Thomas Linsmayer, Minister of State Ulrike Scharf and Head Mayor of Munich Dieter Reiter.
As in previous years, the festive opening of DOK.fest München will take place in the magnificent hall of the Deutsches Theater, which can accommodate 1,400 guests. You can buy a ticket here as well as directly at the Deutsches Theater.

Erich Fried is among the most significant German-language poets. Having fled Vienna, he became an awkward writer after 1945, who condemned injustices in verse and believed in the power of love. Biography
Klaus Fried began working in film in the 1980s, shooting commercials, music videos and short films. He is a lecturer in film practice at the London College of Communication and in film production at Middlesex University. FRIENDLY FIRE is his feature film debut.
Julia Albrecht works as a freelance author, director and editor specializing in documentary film. The production company schoenfilm, founded together with Busso von Mueller, develops documentaries and film material. Their work focuses on Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and China.
