They recount their experiences of the Kosovo war in hushed voices. For 15 years, Birgitte Stærmose followed four traumatised young people in Pristina – from childhood to adulthood. As they recall horrific scenarios in an almost neutral way, hope for a better future repeatedly shines through. Whether they will fulfil their dreams, remains to be seen. Anja Klauck

Biography

Birgitte Stærmose is an internationally recognized screenwriter and filmmaker. She studied film at the University of Copenhagen and Temple University, Philadelphia. In recent years she has directed for HBO, Starz and Netflix.
