During the war, Kurdistan’s mountains were always the last refuge. Now that the weapons have fallen silent, the deeply symbolic animal is meant to return to this majestic landscape. Sıdık, the old sage, sets out to greet it.
We present the German premiere of the film at DOK.fest München 2020 @home.
Biography
Reber Dosky studied documentary film at the Film Academy in Amsterdam. The Iraqi-born filmmaker, who has lived in the Netherlands for over 20 years, already shot his graduation film in Kurdistan. And although his work can be seen as thoroughly political, it is always the human encounters that take centre stage.
