Joshua Oppenheimer – Born in Austin in 1974 Born in Texas he studied film at Harvard and in London and was the chair of the Genocide and Genre research group of the British Arts and Humanities Research Council. Since making his film THE ACT OF KILLING, for which he won prizes including the European Film Award, he has been celebrated as a star of the international documentary scene. His follow up film, THE LOOK OF SILENCE, had its premiere in Venice, where it won the Grand Jury Prize.
