Homeless women in Iran are locked away, banished to the outskirts of the city, made invisible. Behzad Nalbandi secretly conducted interviews in the camps and creates a world of his own: cardboard animations make those affected visible again.
Cooperation:
THE UNSEEN and our February film 1001 NIGHTS APART are presented in cooperation with the Cinema Iran Festival (13-16 July 2023, Gasteig Munich). The programme will thus be extended beyond the local stage for the first time with films on the digital screen.

Biography
Behzad Nalbandi is a graphic artist and documentary filmmaker. He completed his directing studies at the Tehran Film School. So far he has worked mainly for Iranian television. He worked on THE UNSEEN for five years and received his first APSA nomination for best animated feature film.
