FLICKERING LIGHTS
India 2023 – Director: Anupama Srinivasan, Anirban Dutta – Original language: Other – Subtitles: English – Length: 90 min.
Watching television in the evening after a day’s work? This is a distant dream for the inhabitants of the village of Tora on the border to Myanmar who have lived without electricity for decades. The Indian government has left it up to the Naga community to develop their own infrastructure. The people have nonetheless managed to provide for themselves through agriculture and weaving and to install vital solar panels in a targeted way. Michael Kohl
