VIKTOR is now VIKTORIA

The festival's three main prizes are renamed for its 40th anniversary: The VIKTOR is now VIKTORIA. The statues by artist Johannes Brunner are donated by the sponsoring association of DOK.fest München. In addition to the VIKTORIAs, 13 other top-class awards will be presented this year.

Daniel Sponsel and Adele Kohout: ‘The film industry is still predominantly male-dominated. Diversity and the questioning of role models are very important to us at DOK.fest München, so it seemed appropriate and up-to-date to rename the award.’
