Franz Zimmermann

After studying media studies in Hildesheim, Franz Zimmermann quickly turned to practical work and made his first films, worked as a second assistant director on various TV productions and successfully applied to study cinematography at the Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF in 2017, where he graduated with a Master of Fine Arts in 2024. During his bachelor's degree, Franz spent a semester abroad at the renowned Mexican film school "El CCC", establishing contacts in the Latin American film industry that continue to this day. With the fantasy film "Eisspin, the Oh so terrible" Franz Zimmermann was nominated for this year's German Cinematography Award (Deutscher Kamerapreis) and last year for the Golden Tadpole at Camerimage.
