Juan Caunedo

He combines his work for TV and advertising in Spain, Cuba and Germany with his own work: 6 documentaries and 3 short films with numerous international selections and awards: Gijón, Cabra, FEC… His feature film "Before the Ferry arrives" (Cuba/Spain, 2018) competed at the Warsaw Festival, Málaga, BAFICI, Chicago Latino... His feature film in development "Sigmund's Container" co-produced with Butterfilms (Koln) participated in EAVE PUENTES 2020. He has received the Cuban Cinema Fund to write his script "El rey de los campo de Cuba", also selected in Ventana Sur 2021. Since 2014 he has been producing works by Cuban authors with his production company Champola Films: "Jíbaro", Press Award for the best Cuban documentary of 2023… "Kunanfinda", Best Documentary in Dhaka (Bangladesh) 2024...
