Christina Zimmermann

Senior Researcher / Lecturer (Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts)

Christina Zimmermann is a filmmaker and researcher. Currently, she is leading a research project funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. After her graduation from the Academy of Media Arts Cologne, she taught visual communication/video at the Bauhaus University Weimar (2005-2010). Since 2011 she lives in Switzerland, where she lectured at the HGK Basel (documentary film) and the Zurich University of the Arts (artistic research, performative interventions). Her work and long-term projects are regularly presented nationally and internationally, most recently at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, Mifa 2022, Geneva International Film Festival 2021, International Film Festival Amsterdam 2020.
