FRONT ROW
Netherlands, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States 2024 – Director: Miriam Guttmann – Original language: English, Ukrainian – Subtitles: English – Length: 75 min.
The United Ukrainian Ballet tours the world. In exile for three years, the stage is their front line. They face constant doubt and feelings of guilt: back home people are dying and they are dancing “Giselle.” One of the dancers, Alexis, befriends Oleksandr, a soldier who is the same age as him. Olexander has prosthetics instead of feet. In the end they stand together on the stage. Captivating. Elena Álvarez Lutz
