What begins as a film about five citizens in Khartoum, ends as a film about the fate of five people in exile. A bloody power struggle between the military government and the RSF militia forces millions of Sudanese people to flee the country in April 2023. This includes the film team. Biography
Sudanese director and cinematographer Ibrahim 'Snoopy' Ahmed made the award-winning short films SEROTONIN and JOUNEY TO KENYA. He works for Arte, the BBC and the Washington Post among others, shooting music videos and commercials.
Sudanese writer and director Rawia Alhag wrote the award-winning play 'Jadaliyat Al-Habl' with Sayed Sosol in 2008 and founded the theatre company Horizon Art in 2021.
Sudanese media maker Anas Saeed began his career as a video journalist for the independent media organisation Ayin Network. He has also filmed several reports for international media.
Sudanese director, editor and producer Timeea M. Ahmed works in documentary and experimental film. His films have been shown in the UK, USA, France, India and many African countries.
British writer and director Phil Cox has been part of the Native Voice Films collective since 1998 and has made over 30 films for television and cinema. He has received numerous awards for his work in Sudan.
