Adele Kohout
Deputy managing director, programme selection
Adele Kohout began her studies in art history and modern history, specialising in film, at the universities of Düsseldorf and Zurich. In 2010, she completed her Master's degree in Cultural History and Cultural Management at the University of Applied Sciences in Ludwigsburg. During her studies, she deepened her practical knowledge as an assistant director at Czech Television in Prague and in the field of project management, including the Brooklyn Museum and the Postmaster Gallery in New York. From 2008, she worked in public relations at DOK.fest München. From 2010, she successively took on responsible tasks as an assistant to the festival management and was significantly involved in the areas of financing, project coordination, programme design, sponsoring and partner communication. From 2015 to 2017, she was responsible for the strategic management of the Kunstareal München office and made a significant contribution to the festival's success by developing new partnerships. In 2016, she took over the co-management of DOK.fest München alongside Daniel Sponsel and shaped the organisational and conceptual development of the festival.
