BY+QC Doc CoPro – Training initiative Bavaria-Quebec
Together with Forum RIDM, the industry platform of Montreal International Documentary Festival, DOK.forum München offers the successful international training programme BY+QC Doc CoPro.
Both regions send one emerging director/producer duo with a project in development and one experienced producer to the partner festival, where they have the opportunity to initiate new co-productions on both sides of the Atlantic and will be provided with a new network of collaborators, training, masterclasses and networking events. The teams also take part at their "home" festival's Forum editions.
The participants of the Bavarian-Quebec Doc CoPro programme 2024
We are pleased to announce the participants of this year's edition of the international Bavaria-Quebec Doc CoPro programme, DOK.forum and Forum RIDM’s successful collaboration to strengthen the exchange between our respective local industries.
Christian Wittmoser and Moritz Bundschuh (Kick Film) will present their documentary project in development BANGKOK NOX at the DocLab in Montreal and will take part in a closed circuit of workshops, masterclasses and discussions on documentary creation and production.
Project infos BANGKOK NOX:
Bangkok is sinking. In the course of a single, poetic night, Bangkok and its residents are confronted with the grim prognosis that the city on the Gulf of Thailand will be under water in a few decades. Is it possible to live a normal life when the destruction of your own city is inevitable?
Our Bavarian delegation will be completed by the producer Emanuel Rotstein, Head of Documentaries at Icon Docs (Bavaria Fiction). He will be one of the international industry representatives at Forum RIDM’s One-on-One pitches.
Emanuel Rotstein is a multiple award-winning author and producer who currently oversees all non-fiction output at Bavaria Fiction. Previously, he served as the Senior Director of Programming at A+E Networks Germany, overseeing channels like The History Channel and Crime + Investigation.
