Angelika Lepper
Munich-based Angelika Lepper is an artist and film editor. She studied at the Staatliche Hochschule für Gestaltung, Karlsruhe, next door to the ZKM - Center for Art and Media, Media Art / Film and Philosophy and Aesthetics. From 2004 to 2014 she worked as an artistic-scientific assistant at the montage program of the film university Potsdam-Babelsberg. In 2007 she was a visiting professor for Experimental Television at the bauhaus university weimar.
Angelika Lepper is a member of the German Federal Association of Film Editors, where she campaigns for young talent and in the AG KI for the improvement of political and professional conditions for film editors.At the filmuniversität Potsdam-Babelsberg, she was part of university policy committees such as the Senate, Equal Opportunities Commission and various appointment procedures for several years.She has experience as a speaker, most recently at Edimotion - Festival for Film Editing and Montage Art and as a jury member, e.g. at the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen on the jury of the Ministry of Science and Art of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.She has lectured at the KHM Cologne, the University of Siegen, the Akademie für Lehrerfortbildung und Personalführung (ALP) Dillingen and the BAF - Bayerische Akademie für Medien, Munich. She has been a workshop leader on several occasions at the Bavarian Schools Film Days and at training courses for film teachers in Poggio San Marcello, Italy.
As a film educator for children, young people and teachers, an experimental and open understanding of film is important to her. She is particularly interested in editing and dramaturgy in documentary and experimental film forms.
