Heidi Specogna
After studying journalism in Zurich, the Swiss filmmaker attended the Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie Berlin and founded the production company Specogna Film in 1990. Since 2003 she has been a lecturer for documentary film at the Filmakademie Ludwigsburg. Her numerous awards include the Grimme Prizes in 2008 and 2018 and the Konrad Wolf Prize of the Academy of Arts, Berlin 2019.
In its Hommage 2022, DOK.fest München is dedicated to the pioneer of Swiss documentary film, who focuses on the global south in a special way, and presents six of her films.
