DAS SCHIFF DES TORJÄGERS
Germany, Switzerland 2010 – Director: Heidi Specogna – Original language: Afrikaans, French, German – Subtitles: German – Length: 94 min.
In 2001, a ferry owned by the Bundesliga player Jonathan Akpoborie made headlines for its suspected involvement in the transport of child slaves. In Heidi Specogna’s comprehensive reconstruction of the events, the fate of the traumatised children, who had been sold by their parents, is more important to her than the question of actual guilt. How are they doing today?
