Tami Born

After completing her bachelor's degree in theatre studies and economics, Tami Born completed a master's degree in film and media culture research at the LMU Munich. She was then a lecturer for the cultural management course at the Virtual University of Bavaria, which she had already supervised as a tutor for many years. She also worked as a research assistant to the Dean of Studies and in the study office of the Department of Art Studies at LMU Munich.

After various stations such as the Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale) 2023 and Drop In - Forum for Intercultural and Political Education e.V. as well as previous internships, including at the Literaturhaus München, she has always been involved in the cultural sector on a voluntary basis.

In 2019, she took on a five-month internship at DOK.fest München, assisting the project manager of the DOK.education programme and coordinating the documentary film competition for young people for DOK.education in 2020. This was followed in 2023 by work in the team of the industry platform DOK.forum, responsible for target group management.

In 2024 she is back at DOK.fest as Head of Target Group Management/Audience Development.
