Seggen Mikael
Film education ”Mittelschule filmt" project, programme selection and presenter
Seggen Mikael studied ethnology and art, music, theatre with a focus on visual anthropology at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich and cultural sciences and cultural management in Ludwigsburg and Pittsburgh.
She then worked on a documentary research project at the University of Ghana in Accra. Since 2019, Seggen Mikael has been part of the DOK.fest München team. In March 2020, she took over the management (on parental leave replacement) of the Africa focus DOK.network Africa and is part of the programme selection team. At the end of 2021, she joined the Toolbox programme (of EFM, Berlinale) as coordinator. She is also co-founder of the consultancy collective DisCheck, which screens media content in a discrimination-sensitive & intersectional way.
