During the Arab Spring of 2011, 19-year-old Donga and his friend Ali began filming the protests against Muammar al-Gaddafi with a video camera. They wanted to document the historic events for future generations. The revolution and the fall of Gaddafi were followed by civil war. Ten years later, Donga looks back clearly affected by what he has been through: they never wanted war but a better life. Barbara Off

Biography
Libyan filmmaker, editor and producer Muhannad Lamin lives in Tunis. He studied directing and screenwriting at the Tripoli Art Institute. As co-founder of Khayal Productions, he produces documentary short films and series. DONGA is his feature-length documentary film debut.
