HOW THE ROOM FELT
Georgia 2021 – Director: Ketevan Kapanadze – Original language: Georgian – Subtitles: English, German – Length: 90 min.
“Love is you, you and me – love is knowing we can be,” John Lennon’s lyrics drift through the smoky party room of the local women’s football club. Lana, Sopiko, Anuka and their friends are weary, drunk and in love. As part of the queer scene in their post-industrial, conservative town in Georgia, they are not just partners to each other; they are like family. Anne Dietrich
