Felix Sommer

Felix Sommer is a Munich-born filmmaker, student of philosophy, and educator. He studied social and political sciences at the University of Cambridge and medicine in Munich. After professional stations at the European Commission in Brussels - working on emerging infectious diseases and pandemic preparedness - and as a private tutor on a world tour, he studied philosophy in the master’s program at Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich. During this time, he discovered his talent for filmmaking when he produced “Rubberneck”, a psychological thriller that received critical acclaim at the Max Ophüls Film Festival in 2019. He currently studies film production at the renowned University of Television and Film (HFF) Munich, where he teamed up with Thomas Slatter to launch the production company Sommer & Slatter Film.
